Seniors Outpatient Clinics work to improve quality of life by optimizing ability and independence through assessments and recommended treatment plans.
The aim of the Seniors Outpatient Clinic (SOPC) is to improve the quality of life for seniors by optimizing ability and independence. The SOPC team consists of geriatric and psychiatry specialists who provide assessments and recommend treatment plans for older adults experiencing psychiatric and/or medical issues which interfere with functioning and independence. They specialize in helping seniors who have difficulty with falls, medication management, self-care and caregiver challenges, chronic disease, dementia, continence, confusion, and depression.

How To Access This Service: A Clinician referral is required; patient must consult with their primary care provider to access this service. Providers will then contact their Regional Community Access Centre to begin the referral process see bottom of page for referral information).

Seniors Outpatient Clinics are available:
  • Royal Jubilee Hospital - Memorial Pavilion in Victoria,
  • Peninsula Health Unit in Saanichton,
  • Cowichan Merchants Building (Government Street side) in Duncan,
  • Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, and
  • Providence Living at The Views, in Comox.
