A free, provincewide helpline offering same-day access to life-saving medications for individuals struggling with opioid addiction. The service provides confidential, no-cost support and ongoing care, available daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Opioid Treatment Access Line makes it faster and easier to access life-saving medication by connecting people with same-day healthcare support. Callers will connect with a healthcare worker, like a doctor or nurse, who can prescribe opioid agonist medications like Methadone, Suboxone or Kadian that same day.
People struggling with opioid addiction can call 1-833-804-8111 toll-free for immediate assistance from a dedicated team. Callers will also be directly connected to regional health-care teams for ongoing treatment and support within their community. Dedicated nurses will help make sure people are getting the longer-term care they need. The service is confidential, the treatment is covered under BC PharmaCare, and it is available seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
