Continence Promotion and Management Program

Provide assessment and treatment of incontinence for adults by a nurse continence advisor and a continence physiotherapist.
Fraser Health offers a Continence Promotion and Management Program, in which seniors can meet with a nurse continence advisor for assessment and treatment. The program provides services to improve the adults and older adults with urinary and fecal incontinence or stop leaking completely. Each initial assessment takes 90 minutes and follow up may take up to 30 minutes.

This program is appropriate for post-partum women, peri- and post- menopausal women, post-urological surgical (e.g. bladder suspensions, prostate surgery) patients, and seniors.

Must be aged 17 or older for the Continence Clinic at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre, as well as Victoria Heights. Must be aged 65 or older for the Continence Clinic at Peace Arch Hospital.

Located in the New Westminster Specialized Seniors Clinic. Appointments required and completed referral form must be faxed to the clinic. Since this clinic only sees patients on the second Wednesday of every month, there may be a long waiting time to receive the in clinic assessment by the nurse continence advisor.

Located White Rock Specialized Seniors clinic. Make an appointment and fax the completed referral form to the clinic. The program offices are located in the Berkeley Pavilion. Only accepting for ages 65 and up.
