The UPCC offers a variety of urgent and primary care services for those in the Chemainus area.
Treats urgent non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries that need immediate same-day care due to injury or illness. There is no overnight admittance; transfer to a larger centre will be arranged if needed.
Medical conditions include asthma, infections, allergic reactions, broken bones, cuts and wounds, nose bleeding, objects in the eyes, and minor illnesses and injury in children.

Eligibility: Patients who require medical attention within 12 - 24 hours but are not emergent.
