Right From the Start - Prenatal Registration and Services

Provided by Island Health

Provides support for pregnant women and new moms, their babies, children and families.
Created by women, for women, the program is offered by public health nurses who will work in partnership with patients. Nurses are available by phone or in-person at Island Health public health units across the region.

Services include prenatal information, postpartum physical and emotional support, breastfeeding support, family and community health referrals, child health clinics and immunizations starting at two months of age, and access to Baby's Best Chance handbook.

Referral Instructions:A referral is required in order to access the program. To access services, please complete the form and email the completed form to RFTS@islandhealth.ca OR fax it to 1-855-544-2403 OR drop it off at any Island Health Public Health Unit.
