Provides support and information in all matters pertaining to a balance in men's lives through counselling, training, navigation and support groups.
The Men’s Centre focuses on coaching and supporting men and their community. The Men's Centre helps men thrive by overcoming challenges in intimate partner violence, parental alienation, substance abuse, separation and divorce, and many other things. The Men's Centre can work with individuals on addictions, depression, relationship issues, separation and divorce, violence at home and/or work. Programs include:
  • One to One Counselling: Offered at a sliding scale rate ($20-$125), one on one counselling is offered with a registered professional counsellor.
  • Boots to Suits:The purpose of Boots to Suits is to assist individuals in obtaining appropriate attire for securing employment or attending important meetings by providing work clothing. Access to the Boots to Suits clothing program is facilitated through a Men’s Centre counsellor or via referral from a work agency, such as GT Hiring or Rhino. Participants are required to present a business card or a letter from their prospective employer or agency.
  • Coaching: Personalized coaching sessions tailored to participants specific needs and goals. Offered at a sliding scale rate ($20-$125).
  • Navigation Support: The Men's Centre offers navigation services to assist men in accessing essential resources, such as financial assistance or resources to assist with seperation, divorce and IPV. They provide information, advocacy, and practical assistance to help men understand their eligibility for programs, complete applications, and connect with relevant agencies.
  • Men's Groups: In these groups, facilitated by experienced guides, participants can discover a powerful sense of belonging. They have the opportunity to explore complex emotions, address anxieties, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Whether facing relationship issues, career challenges, or navigating life’s transitions, a men’s group serves as an invaluable source of support and strength.
