Dignity and Respect Program (DRP)

DVRP is part of a safer family and community response to domestic violence that delivers support and safety accountability planning for men referred by MCFD
The Dignity and Respect Program (DRP) is part of a safer family and community in response to intimate partner violence. DRP focuses on building skills to promote safety and create positive changes in relationships with partners, co-parents, and/or family members. The DRP program provides individual counselling and group programming from professionally trained therapists with graduate degrees in social work or counselling psychology. DRP is staffed 40 hours a week by two therapists who provide intake, support, and planning for safety and accountability, with clinicians participating in regular supervision.

  • Offers individual counselling sessions and an 8-week group
  • DRP focuses on skills that support people to have safe and meaningful relationships
  • The program works from the premise that all people can control and take responsibility for their actions
  • There is no cost to access DRP, as it is funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development (MCFD)
